Where to Grow | Geospatial Science

GIS has evolved from a concept to a science that creates, manages, analyzes, and maps all types of data. Whenever we look at a map, we inherently start turning that map into information. JohnsMealTicket research is set out to develop data for members, farmers, organizations, and other education to provide a new perspective to find best locations to grow healthy crops in California.

The power to study different biomes to determine the best location to grow particular crops can introduce new possibilities to extend our ability to reduce multiple environment issues, increase jobs,  reduce transportation costs, and more. Whenever, we look at a map, we inherently start turning that map into information by analyzing its contents – finding patterns, assessing trends, or making decisions. This process is called “spatial analysis”, and it’s what lends us a new perspectives to answer complex spatial questions with additional information.
