Convincing 40 years old people living in the developing and underdeveloped world may not be easy as these concepts are new to them. For example, almost everyone is aware of radio and television, so we should give them examples of signals distribution and capture by the devices.

     Progressive farmers and ranchers are familiar in all developed, developing, and underdeveloped countries. Government and extension workers should arrange the field visit of laggards to the modern and well-equipped farms. Once they are convinced to use this technology, and they get benefits in terms of soil health improvement, minimizing pests and diseases, and protecting the outdoor crops from the stresses associated with natural disasters (heavy rains, floods, drought), they will start believing on the benefits of these technologies for the ultimate wellbeing. This will improve the business opportunities, and farmers will be able to generate more revenue.

Challenges for Practically Adopting Precision Farming and GIS

     Mostly the people are poor and cannot access these technologies for the wellbeing of their farming systems. However, people in developed countries and areas have significant support from agricultural research activities, institutes, research surveys, and extension sectors. Comparatively, there is no direct support for the farmers in developing and underdeveloped countries. Even if there are any initiatives by the governmental or non-governmental organizations, they are not appropriately communicating and supporting the farmers and ranchers for properly using these technologies.

     Despite the financial and technological restraints and poor access to modern technologies, some progressive farmers use precision agriculture practices and GIS systems to minimize stresses and maximize yields. The oriented and well-planned use of GIS and other technological interventions can help to secure the depleting resources and generate more profit by achieving sustainable agriculture production. It will be important to generate more job and business opportunities for the local and deprived communities. Moreover, it will also positively impact the future of the next generations, and we can gift them protective, healthy, and productive soils for food production, tree plantation, and environmental protection.

The cost will be a great challenge to our farmers and obviously a large number of farmers will hesitate. It takes lot of awarenesz creation for us in Africa to adapt to changing technology
